WALSH - Archie D. Kueker, 88, passed away at 1:00 am, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Chester Rehab and Nursing Center in Chester, Illinois. Archie was born in Blair, Illinois on February 4, 1927, the son of Henry and Mathilda Eggemeyer Kueker. He married Alice Marie Eggemeyer on March 30, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh. He was a retired Custodian for Sparta Community School, a Farmer and a Carpenter. Archie was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh and the Zion Brotherhood; and former Zion Lutheran Church Council member. Archie is survived by his wife, Alica Kueker of Walsh, IL: grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicol) Kueker of Hennepin, IL and Justina (James) Essen of St. Louis, MO; great grandchild, Madelyn Kueker; two step great grandchildren, Jacob and Andrew Essen; and one brother, Raymond (Dorothy) Kueker of Mascoutah, IL. Archie was preceded in death by his Parents; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy Kueker and Robert (Carol) Kueker; two brothers, Ervin and Melbert Kueker; and one sister, Adeline Bierman. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh with Rev. Harold Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Walsh. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 9 am until 10 am at the church. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Cemetery or VITAS Hospice.
