WILLISVILLE – Anthony F. Theobald, 74, of Willisville, passed away at 1:08 am, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Anthony was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 11, 1941, the son of Frank and Francis Theobald. He married Sharon Poston on October 9, 1976 in Coal City, Illinois. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Tony was a self-employed over the road truck driver.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Sharon Theobald of Willisville; children, Peter (Karen) Theobald of Crest Hill, IL, Paul Theobald of Joliet, IL, John (Sharon) Theobald of Shorewood, IL, Mike Chesser of Colorado, Laura (David) Goetting of Willisville, Paula Chesser of California and Angela (James) King of Murphysboro; 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley and Aimee Goetting, Garon King, Estrella Reinoso-Chavira, Spencer and Stephanie Theobald, Heidi Crawford and Alyssa Theobald; 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl (Carol) Theobald of Minooka, IL; Cliff (Suzie) Theobald of Joliet, IL; and his beloved dog, Carlito.
Anthony was preceded in death by his Parents and One Step Grandson.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Jerry King officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 pm until 7 pm. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
