STEELEVILLE – Annabelle Mevert, 95, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, Illinois.

Annabelle was born on August 10, 1928, in Steeleville, IL, the daughter of Everett J and Mabel (Ernsting) Bierman. She married Albert F. Mevert on December 20, 1947, in Steeleville, IL. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2020. Annabelle was a homemaker and a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL.

Annabelle is survived by her sons: Thomas (Doris) Mevert of Percy, IL, James (Deb) Mevert of Steeleville, IL; her 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren.

Annabelle was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, David Mevert, Steven Mevert, a grandson, Jonathon and a granddaughter, Melinda Raby.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Ken Tegtmier and Parrish Minister Assistant Julie Posth officiating. Burial to follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at the church where friends may call from 8:30 am until time of service.
