AVA, Anna Jane Weathers, 92, of Ava, passed away at10:20 A.M. Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL. Anna Jane was born May 25, 1916 in Murphysboro, Illinois the daughter of Henry Rogers and Bertha (Ahls) Rogers. She married Thomas Jefferson "Jesse" Weathers on December 23, 1932 in Murphysboro, IL. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1961. Anna Jane was a Homemaker. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Ava, IL. Anna Jane is survived by one son, William G. Weathers of Granite City, IL; two daughters, Lois Throop of Freeburg, IL and Linda Hobson of Panama City Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her Parents; two brothers; two sisters; one son, Bobbie; and two daughters, Betty Midget and Alice Weathers Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Thomas E. Bevis officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Ava. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 11 am.
