AVA – Ann Cross, 86, of Ava, IL, left this world to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Ann was the daughter of Elbridge Creasy and Cora (Bone) Creasy on October 23, 1939, in Seneth, Mo. She married Donald (Duck) Cross on November 5, 1955, in St Louis, Mo. Ann was a Nurse and loved her profession dearly. She wore many hats during her life but the one she treasured most was her family. Ann was known as the community Mom to all her kids’ friends through the years. She loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

Ann is proceeded in death by her parents, her sister, Joyce, her son, Donnie, and her grandsons, Blake and Duce.

Ann is survived by her daughters: Mitzie (Gabby) McBride, Dee (Julie) Cross; grandchildren: Darin Glodo, Tracy (Tony) Gill, Stacy (John) Hartung; great grandchildren: Morgan Weber, Daykota Burnett, Madison Reynolds, Sierra Gill, Aiden McBride, Alexa McBride; and numerous nieces and nephews.

It was Ann’s wish to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois and can be mailed to Wilson’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
