CAMPBELL HILL, Allen Dale Schatte, 65, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 10:50 AM Monday, September 1, 2014, at V.A. Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. He was born July 19, 1949 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of Albert Henry and Maedell Rose (Eggemeyer) Schatte. Allen married Cynthia S. Clinton on April 19, 1975 in Ava, IL. Allen was a retired Fork Lift Operator for Gilster Mary Lee Corporation. Allen served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church (Post Oak), the American Legion Post #1096 of Campbell Hill, IL and the Kaskaskia V. F. W. Post #3553 of Chester, IL. He is survived by his: wife: Cynthia S. Schatte, Campbell Hill, IL; Sons: James Schatte Campbell Hill and John (Amanda) Schatte, Chester, IL; Granddaughter: McKenzie Schatte; 3 Brothers: Larry Schatte, Rochester, MN, David Schatte, Shelby, NC and Dennis Schatte, Campbell Hill, IL. Allen is preceded in death by his parents and one Sister, Carolyn Kay Schatte. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, Campbell Hill, Illinois with Rev. Laura Kamprath officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery starting at 9:30am. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
