TILDEN, Allen N Nesbit, 89, of Tilden, passed away at 4:08 A.M. Tuesday, March 08, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born February 15, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Sam Nesbit and Viola (Stinell) Nesbit. Allen married Patsy S. Auten on April 22, 1955 in Belleville, IL. He is survived by his wife Patsy Nesbit of Tilden, IL; children: Terry Niemeir of Tilden, IL, Kevin and Kathy Nesbit of Chester, IL, Keith Nesbit of Willisville, IL, Karl "Steven" and Joan Nesbit of Willisville, IL, and Karen and Chuck Gillis of Murphysboro, IL; six grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister: Edna Woodring of Wood River, IL; brothers: William Nesbit of Cottage Hills, IL and Norman and Loretta Nesbit of Smithton, IL. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, four sisters and one step grandson. Allen was retired from Illinois Power after 27 years. He was of the Protestant faith and has been a member of the Laborer Local #459, Belleville, IL for 50 years. He also was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Garden of Memory in Belleville, IL. Rev. Willis Durbin will be officiating. Arrangements are under the auspices of Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL. Memorials may be made to Randolph County Humane Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois
