STEELEVILLE – Alice L. Knop, 74, of Steeleville, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at her home.

Alice was born July 28, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, to Harry and Arlene Glenn Picker. She married Darrell Kraus on February 25, 1967, in Steeleville, IL, he preceded her in death on January 2, 1978. Alice then married William Knop on February 6, 1981, in Steeleville, IL, he preceded her in death on December 31, 2018. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. Alice enjoyed quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family and her faithful companion fur baby Max.

Alice is survived by her children: Gregory (Barbara) Kraus of Ballwin, MO, Angela (Kevin) Diercks of Steeleville, IL, Brent (Elizabeth) Kraus of Smithton, IL, Chad (Vicki) Kraus of Shreveport, LA, Derik (Christina) Kraus of Ava, IL, Matthew (Adrienne) Kraus of Steeleville, IL, William D. (Patricia) Knop of Marissa, IL, Jon A (Heide) Knop of Steeleville, IL, Roberta (Tim) Van Doren of Dittmer, MO; 28 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers: Daniel (Deb) Picker of Steeleville, IL, Ronald Picker of Maryland Heights, MO and Mark Picker of Maryland Heights, MO.

Alice is also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Blake Kraus, one granddaughter Jennifer Hill, and in-laws Reinhard and Opal Kraus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 29, 2021, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 6-8 pm, Sunday, November 28, 2021, 7:30–9 am Monday, and 10–11 am at the church.
