STEELEVILLE – Alberta "Lady" Elizabeth Schremp, 78, of Steeleville, joined her Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Three Spring Nursing Home, surrounded by her family.

Alberta was born in Evansville, IL, on November 24, 1944, the daughter of Eugene and Frieda (Volkmann) Braun.  She married Clifford Schremp on May 19, 1962. He precedes her in death. Alberta worked at the shoe factory in Evansville, IL, dress factory in Sparta, IL, McAluni in Pinckneyville, IL, and retired from Dorma in Steeleville, IL. She loved the Lord, her family and friends, fishing, quilting, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Alberta was a member of Steeleville Baptist Church.

Alberta had a laugh that warmed your heart, and will be dearly missed by her son, Richard P. Schremp of Willisville, IL, her daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Woodside of Steeleville, IL, her stepson, Doug Lohman of Chester, IL, her grandchildren: Christine (Jeff) Ledendecker, Stephanie (Toby Latham) Schnoeker, Heather Lunneman, Danielle (Wendell Quintana) Schnoeker-Woodside, Andrew (Sophia Shelton) Pillar, Andrea (Jason) Eastwood, Linda and Mindy Schremp, Christina (Dustin) Houlk, Desuray (Bill) Kernan; her twenty-seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, her brothers: Vernon "Buddy" (Linda) Braun of Sparta, IL, and Jerry (Lottie) Braun of Rockwood, IL.

Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David Schremp, sisters, Helen and Betty, step daughter-in-law, Candy Lohman, two great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Boots.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10:00 to 12:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at noon, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Roger Marshall officiating.  Burial will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL.  Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Steeleville, IL, 62288.
