Obituary
COULTERVILLE – Alberta Helms, 76, of Coulterville, passed away at 10:51 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois.
Alberta was born in Walsh, Illinois on April 26, 1940, the daughter of August and Edna Eggemeyer Lindwedel. She married Firmin Hanebutt, he passed away April 26, 1990, she then married Donald Helms and he passed away in 1992. She was of the Lutheran Faith.
Alberta is survived by three children, Jennifer Hanebutt Thornton of Cape Giaradeau, MO, Ronald Hanebutt of Shawnee, OK, and Kimberly Helms of Coulterville; five grandchildren; and one sister, Maedell Jung of Evansville, IL.
Alberta was preceded in death by her Parents; two husbands; one brother; and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Rev. Harold Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 9 am until 1 pm Monday. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
