WILLISVILLE, Albert H. Winterberg, 81, of Perryville, MO, formerly of Willisville, IL passed away at 2:15 A.M. Saturday, June 05, 2010, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, MO. He was born October 30, 1928 in Degognia, Illinois the son of Henry Winterberg and Vernice (Rury) Winterberg. Albert married Myrtle M. Goetz on October 30, 1948 at Percy, IL, she preceded him in death on December 5, 2000. He then married Mary Ann Mattingly Hotop on October 10, 2003 in Willisville, IL. Albert was a retired custodian from Trico School District. He also worked on the railroad for 8 years and Illinois Quarry Co. for 27 years. Albert was a member of the Tri-County Independent Baptist Church in Willisville, IL and was a former deacon there. Albert enjoyed livestocck and farming. Albert is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Winterberg of Perryville, MO; four children, Ed Winterberg and Don Winterberg both of Willisville, IL, Sheila (Mike) Biermann of Ava, IL, and Steve (Wendy) Winterberg of Clinton, IN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 12 step children; 38 step grandchildren; 21 step great grandchildren; and one sister, Ida Joost of Homewood, IL. Albert was also preceded in death by his Parents; One Grandson; One Sister and One Step Son. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Rev. Francis Bartley will be officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Monday from 5 to 8 pm and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
