OKAWVILLE – Albert H. Guebert, 103, of Okawville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at his home in Okawville, IL.

Albert was born on October 28, 1921, in Red Bud, IL, the son of Herman and Augusta (Sommer) Guebert. He married Viola Rubach on March 10, 1946, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen, IL. She preceded him in death on September 22, 2019. Albert was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was a Farmer and Head Machinist at Sparta Aluminum. Albert was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and American Legion, both in Baldwin, IL.

Albert is survived by his children: Patricia Quinlan of Okawville, IL, and Violet Taul of Dix, IL; his grandchildren: Eric Kruse, Melanie Schweer, Terri (Ryan) Moore; and a great grandson, James Burke.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sharon Schweer, sons-in-law: David Taul, Kenneth Quinlin; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

A Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, 5:00 pm, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Baldwin, IL, with Rev. Brian Nowak officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until time of service at the church. A Graveside service for burial will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, 10:00 am, at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Baldwin and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL.
