CHESTER - Adeline Wolters, 89, of Chester, passed away at 2:45 pm, Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois. Adeline was born in Randolph County, Illinois on April 4, 1925, the daughter of Adolph, Sr. and Olga Knoke Duensing. Adeline married Clarence L. Bierman on April 22, 1945 in Bremen, IL, he preceded her in death on April 30, 1955. She later married Richard L. Wolters on June 3, 1967 at Bremen, IL and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1978. Adeline was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill and St. Paul's Ladies Aid. She was active in various nonprofit organizations in the county including the American Cancer Society, the thrift shop in Chester and various church committees. Adeline is survived by her daughters, Imogene (Larry S.) McDonough of Chester and Eileen (Terry) Bollman of Pascagoula, MS; three grandchildren, Brett (Kim) Bollman, Kelly (Brian) Clark, and Shannon McDonough; four great grandchildren, Savannah Bollman, Alaina Bollman, Parker Bollman and Preston Clark; brother, Norlyn (Sue) Duensing of Centralia, IL; sister, Darlene (Jim) Spier of Baldwin, IL; aunt, Naomi Duensing of Huntsville, TX; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Adeline was also preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Lydia Duensing; two brothers, Wayne Duensing and Adolph Duensing, Jr.; one sister, Margaret Rickenberg; two sisters-in-law, Jean Duensing and Mary Duensing; and brother-in-law, Norman Rickenberg. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 12, 2014 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Bremen. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday and on Friday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
