CAMPBELL HILL, Adele M. Volkman, 91, passed away at 8:00 AM Friday, April 13, 2012, at her home in Murphysboro, Illinois. Adele was born June 25, 1920 in Campbell Hill, Illinois the daughter of Henry and Mary Laramore Ehlers. Adele married Louis Henry Volkman on Saturday, August 30, 1941 in Campbell Hill. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1992. She was a homemaker and a retired cook from Campbell Hill Grade School and Trico High School. She was a life member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #1096, Campbell Hill. Adele is survived by her children, Doris (Roger) Eilers of Campbell Hill, Elaine (Don) Richelman of Campbell Hill, Vivian (Rick) Nagel of Campbell Hill and Deborah (Dan) Johnson of Percy; 13 grandchildren, Diane (Richie) Pyatt, Darwin Eilers, Robert Eilers, Mark Richelman, Chuck (Heather) Richelman, Stephanie (Chad Allen) Knop, Chadrick (Chrissie) Lawrence, Jamie (Sarah) Nagel, Sherrie (Andy) Schemonia, Joshua Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Ashlee (Bryan) Dunn and Megan Guy (and friend: Jayme Hull); 14 great grandchildren, Dalton, Danyelle & Dalyn Eilers, Christina Pyatt, Ryleigh & Blayke Richelman, Makenzie & Makayla Nagel, Hailey Nagel, Zachary & Adelyne Knop, Breanna & Aliviah Lawrence, Elliott Dunn and Baby Kaylyn Hull expected in August; one brother, Robert "Bob" Ehlers of Belleville, IL; and one sister, Pauline Gerberding of Steeleville, IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son: Marvin on February 7, 2005; one granddaughter: Kristina Lynn Lawrence on September 19, 1972; three brothers; and three sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. Alan Kornacki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 to 11 am at the church.
