CHESTER - Adele Delores Barker Randolph, of Chester, passed away after a short illness at Three Springs Lodge in Chester at the age of 97 years, 5 months, 5 days. She loved and cherished her family second only to her love for Christ. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for over 6 decades. Adele was born in St. Louis, MO, on July 20, 1917, the daughter of William and Almeda (nee Fox) Barker. She married Clarence L. Randolph on June 5, 1937, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1998. Adele leaves to grieve her, five children, Clarence "Bud" (Cheryl) Randolph of Hernando Beach, FL, Delores (Ken) White of Dardene Prairie, MO, Kathleen (Jack) Zappa of Chester, IL, George Randolph of Steeleville, and John (Mary) Randolph of Olive Branch, MS; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Heinreich of Las Vegas, NV, Karen (Brian) Hendricks of Chester, IL, Kenneth (Caroline) White, Jr. of Sacramento, CA, Bill (Vicki) Randolph of Rockford, IL, Tara Chadderton of Steeleville, Heather Chadderton of Steeleville, Amy Chadderton of Steeleville, Heather Jackson of Olive Branch, MS, and Gabe Randolph of Charleston, SC; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many extended family members, whom she dearly loved. Adele was also preceded in death by her Parents; daughters-in-law, Roselia Randolph and Cathy Randolph; infant great grandson, Jaxon Daniel Hoover; three sisters, Cleda, Myrtle, and Ruth; and one brother, Amil. Adele was a special person and was loved by everyone whose life she touched. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Dan Madrigal officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Church of Christ in Red Bud.
