MURPHYSBORO, Ada June Pickering, 58, of Murphysboro, passed away at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at her home in Murphysboro, IL. She was born June 20, 1952 in Murphysboro, Illinois the daughter of Luther Morris and Mary (Holliday) Morris. She is survived by her children: Mary Jo Porter of Murphysboro, IL, Shawn (Joi Stein) Imhoff of Murphysboro, IL, Chris and Shelley Imhoff of Murphysboro, IL; Grandchildren: Kelsie McGregor, Rebeka and Rachel Porter, Alex Imhoff, Jacob Imhoff, and Delainie Imhoff; great grandson: Shelten Bramlett; sisters: Nellie Ellis of Pomona, IL, Della Martin of Murphysboro, IL, Cindy Murray of Murphysboro, IL, Judy Dagner of Ava; brother: Thomas Morris of Murphysboro, IL. Ada is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. She was a retired cook. Memorial services will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. Pastor Francis Bartley will be officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. The preferred form of remembrance is to the family.
